Kachina Beadwork Pattern: This is one I have had proudly hanging on my own wall for decades. It is truly stunning with it's vibrant colors that hold up to the test of time. It is the Butterfly Maiden Kachina, designed from an authentic Hopi Indian Kachina. It is shown here with a leather mat inside the frame, effectively resulting in an inlaid look, since the beads are the same thickness as the leather. The finished dimensions of the beadwork itself, using size 11/o glass seed beads, is approx. 11" tall by 6 1/4" wide, and this particular frame has outside dimensions of 19" tall by 15" wide. It incorporates a total of 12,864 beads. This pattern is a substantial 12 pages long for this major work, all bound with removable bindings to keep it fresh and clean for years. It includes the pattern in 2 formats (an enlarged full-color pattern with color numbers, a one-page overview of the pattern), a word chart that gives you bead counts for each row, a color legend, some background and symbolism description, and a complete step-by-step set of instructions telling you how to complete the pattern to it's framed state as shown. To help you make sure you get the exact beads you need for this project, we have a bundled option that includes the beads (see product title). This is not available as a kit, where hanks are broken into exact quantities, so you will get full hanks of every color even if you don't use that much for this project. Also, we are not including the thread or needles you will need in the bundle, or the leather and frame, since those may vary according to personal preference.
