Apache Handbag:
This Apache Indian styled handbag should be made of
a soft leather, either full grain or suede, which can be sewed easily by hand.
The finished handbag has dimensions of 10" wide by 12" deep and
features a long shoulder strap and 5" leather fringe.
Your FREE pattern and instructions includes the exact
placement of the optional metal conchos, the size and method of cutting your
leather and fringe, and how to make your shoulder strap. You should note that
the strap MUST be very strong, which usually means that using the same leather
as the body of the pouch is either a lot of work or not really feasible. This
is why we recommend under our decorative options below using our 6mm leather
lacing. This lacing is both strong and flexible.
An attractive variation to this would be to place 3
Glass Crow beads in colors of your choice onto some of the fringing in possibly
a "V" pattern and to have a shoulder strap in a color which
cordinates with those beads. This really looks stunning with or without the
metal conchos. |
